Reviewing a pet’s profile before accepting a booking is crucial to understand their behaviour, socialisation status, and specific needs. This helps you prepare for the booking and decide if the pet is a good match for your services.

Instructions

  1. Access the Pet Profile
    • Log in to your Mad Paws account.
    • Go to the booking request and click on the pet’s name to view their profile.
  2. Navigate to the Basics Tab
    • In the pet’s profile, locate the Basics tab.
    • Check the information provided about the pet’s behaviour, preferences, and socialisation status.
  3. Understand Socialisation Tags
    • Pets may be tagged with specific behaviours under the following categories:
      • Dog Socialisation: Sometimes friendly, never friendly.
      • Cat Socialisation: Sometimes friendly, never friendly, not sure.
      • Child Socialisation: Nervous, assertive, I don’t know.
  4. Evaluate the Impact of "Anti-Social" Tags
    • If the pet is tagged as "Anti-Social" in any category, consider how it might affect your ability to care for them, particularly if you have other pets, children, or overlapping bookings.
    • Remember, once the booking is confirmed, your profile will not appear in search results for the booked dates.
  5. Communicate with the Pet Owner
    • Message the Pet Owner to ask for additional details about the pet’s behaviour and care needs.
    • Clarify expectations and any special arrangements required for the pet’s safety and comfort.
  6. Decide on the Booking
    • After reviewing the profile and discussing details with the Pet Owner, decide whether the booking aligns with your skills, availability, and environment.
