A Police Check Badge adds credibility to your profile on Mad Paws and helps Pet Owners trust you as a reliable Sitter. To apply for a police check, follow these simple steps to obtain and upload your document.


Instructions

  1. Choose an Accredited Provider
    • Select a trusted provider such as:
      • Checked.com.au
      • National Crime Check
      • Local police station
      • Authorised third-party provider
  2. Prepare Your Documents
    • Gather identification documents such as:
      • Driver’s licence, passport, or birth certificate
      • Proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement)
  3. Complete the Application
    • Visit the provider’s website or office and fill out the application form.
    • Pay the processing fee (costs vary by provider).
  4. Wait for Processing
    • Police checks are typically processed within 3–10 business days, depending on the provider.
    • You’ll receive the results via email or post.
  5. Upload Your Police Check to Mad Paws
    • Log in to your Mad Paws account.
    • Go to the dashboard and click Upload Police Check under the verification section.
    • Select your document and upload it.
  6. Allow Time for Badge Approval
    • Once uploaded, the Police Check Badge will appear on your profile within 7 business days if the document meets all requirements.
