# What to Do If a Sitter Requests Cash Payment

To help ensure your booking remains eligible for Mad Paws support and the Mad Paws Guarantee, all bookings and payments should be completed through the Mad Paws platform.

## Instructions

1. **Politely Decline the Request**

   Let the Pet Sitter know that you would prefer to keep the booking and payment on Mad Paws.

2. **Keep Communication on the Platform**

   Continue communicating through Mad Paws messages so there is a record of the conversation.

3. **Contact Mad Paws Support**

   If a Pet Sitter encourages you to pay outside the platform, please let our team know.

**Pet Sitter:** *"The platform isn't working. Can you transfer the payment directly?"*

**Response:** *"I'd prefer to complete the payment through Mad Paws. I'll contact support if I need help with the booking."*
