✅ Available on Mobile/Desktop Browser or App? Yes, accessible on all platforms.

Creating a trustworthy and professional profile is key to joining the Mad Paws community. Below are the key guidelines our team follows when reviewing sitter profiles to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards.

Service Description “No-No’s”

To keep profiles professional and in line with Mad Paws’ community standards, please avoid:

  • ❌ Any use of bad or inappropriate language
  • ❌ Excessive mention of making money — focus on your love for pets instead

Tip: Pet Owners connect best with Sitters who show genuine care and passion for animals.

Business Profiles

Sitters are not allowed to advertise or promote their own business on Mad Paws.

Action Required:

  • Remove any business-related wording from your profile.
  • Our team will email you if edits are needed.

Police Check Requirements

For your Police Check to be valid, please ensure it meets the following:

  • Must be issued within the last 12 months from the approval date
  • Must show your name, date, and “no criminal history” (covering the past 5 years)
  • Copies are acceptable as long as the check is valid
  • checked.com.au is the preferred and discounted provider recommended by Mad Paws

Action Required:

  • Remove any outdated Police Check from your profile.
  • Our team will apply the Police Check Badge once verified.

Joint Account Applications

For joint sitter profiles (e.g. couples, family teams): Requirements:

  1. Valid ID for both sitters. If one ID was missed, upload it here for review.
  2. Both names must appear on the profile.
  3. A clear photo of both sitters (in the display photo or carousel).
  4. Certificate of completion for at least one sitter (the partner isn’t required to submit one).

✅ Once all requirements are met, our Support Team can approve your sitter profile.

Under 18 Sitters

If you’re under 18, you can still apply with a guardian’s consent.

Steps to Follow:

  1. Add your guardian’s name to your Sitter Title in your profile.
  2. Mention in your bio that you and your guardian are a team, and they’ll vouch for you.
  3. Upload a valid photo ID for both you and your guardian (a side-by-side photo is fine).
  4. Include a photo of both you and your guardian on your profile or carousel for verification.
  5. Submit a letter of consent from your guardian — an email is fine, as long as it confirms:
    • They agree to Mad Paws’ Terms and Conditions
    • They will be present and responsible for bookings
