Pet emergencies can happen unexpectedly during a booking. Here's what you, as a Pet Owner, should expect from your Pet Sitter and how to ensure your pet gets the care they need.

What to Expect During a Pet Emergency

  1. Immediate Contact. Your Pet Sitter will contact you or your emergency contact immediately to inform you about your pet’s condition.
  2. Permission for Medical Action . They’ll seek your permission before proceeding with any medical care. Ensure your emergency contact is authorised to make decisions if you’re unavailable.
  3. Vet Visit
    • If you have a preferred vet, your Pet Sitter will take your pet there.
    • If no vet is specified or the preferred vet is unavailable, they may contact Pawssum Mobile Vets at 1300 343 580 for home vet assistance.
    • In urgent cases, they’ll take your pet to the nearest emergency vet.
  4. Mad Paws Notification. Your Pet Sitter will notify Mad Paws of the incident to ensure proper support and documentation. During business hours, they’ll call 02 8046 6536 or email trust@madpaws.com.au with “EMERGENCY” in the subject line.
